Paid my deposit, received a confirmation email, made airlines reservations and car rental res. only to be told that there was a "computer glitch" and I no longer had the house. They also lied and told me that they had been trying to call and email me for 2 weeks to notify me of the situation. They have made no effort to find a new house and were completely unresponsive. I'm still waiting to get my deposit back. No refund or help with nonrefundable airline tickets and car rentals. Horrible customer service and completely apathetic.

Upon arrival to our rental unit, it was immediate that the place was absolutely disgusting and not at all cleaned after the previous renters. Despite having multiple documents and emails from Long & Foster about following CDC cleaning guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was visible dirt, fingerprints, bugs, hair, crumbs, urine, and food in every room of the house. Even outside of pandemic cleaning guidelines, this place was really gross. L&F was unresponsive about our issues and disrespectful to us, which only furthered our frustration. Honestly, our rental unit was at an amazing location (Kings Grant) with the most gorgeous bay views. It's really disappointing that we had such an awful experience with the lack of cleanliness and intentional ignorance from Long and Foster. We were really looking forward to this vacation and it put a real bummer on the whole week after cleaning for a few hours when we arrived, and then being ignored. I would absolutely recommend Fenwick Island, DE beaches. They are beautiful and Kings Grant is an amazing location. I DO NOT recommend going through Long & Foster.

I discovered that if you rent with Long and Foster, Bethany Beach -you must bring your own cleaning supplies and expect to spend your first day there cleaning - even during COVID. We showed up and found a filthy rental, including trash on the floor, sand and dirt everywhere; mouse feces in cabinets, human feces on toilet, food remains in kitchen sink. We called repeatedly and got no response until the next day. Meanwhile, we hit the stores and disinfecting cleaning supplies were out of stock. The next day, we got a call offering to send the cleaners back sometime that week. If that wasn’t satisfactory resolution, we were told to call our Long and Foster agent. I left several messages for her to call me, but she did not. I sent emails, including photos of the conditions. I got one email back apologizing and offering an Xplorie activity for our family- which is the equivalent of a free muffin if we all go to a local bakery.

We highly recommend Long and Fosters Joe Loughran! He is a very knowledgeable, professional and honest realtor which made us feel confident. He made it very clear that our questions and concerns were never a bother to him and made us feel we were his top priority. It was truly a pleasure to do business with him!!!!
