Carmen Anthony Steakhouse of Waterbury

This is Waterbury's nicest (and most expensive) steakhouse. The steaks are really good, the service is friendly, and the bartenders are cool. There are other cheaper steakhouses in Waterbury now, but this is the one visit if you have money to spend and someone to impress.

Very disappointed. Went there for Valentines Day. Service was very slow. At table for 2 hours. My wife ordered baked stuffed lobster tail. She got a steamed lobster tail with no stuffing that was so overcooked it was blackened. I ordered a ny strip steak rare. It was rare on the inside but totally burned and blackened on the outside. When we told the waiter about the mistake on the lobster, he said he was'nt sure which she wanted to he put in for the steamed. At $35 she could have ordered a 2 pound lobster and had more to eat. This does not meet the expectations of a 5 star restaurant.

Played paintball and everyone was hungry. Ten of us were seated immediately. Food was excellent. Will recommend and return!

clam chowder-d, wedge salad a, steaks-awful, choice not prime, over cooked, salty and spicy to tenderize, lobster smelled of ammonia, free dessert to make up for lobster was a d. better off going to chuck's steak house in danbury and paying half the price or to manhattan for the real thing.

Described as Connecticut's best steakhouse, I was a bit disappointed. The atmosphere is generic for a steakhouse and possibly slightly tacky with the use of the LED rope lighting . The salad was not cold but at room temperature and cut very large which made it difficult to eat getting the bland weak vinegary dressing around your mouth. The steak (Ribeye) was one note and a little dry even though I ordered it medium rare.Unfortunately, I have had better steaks at "chain restaurants". Whoever claimed this as Connecticut's best steakhouse, they may want to go back and re-evaluate this. On the bright side, the bread they served was excellent with a salty garlicy exterior and "fresh right out of the oven" taste which was the highlight of the visit. Without a doubt, the service was very good indeed.
