Mr. Quach. After providing your family excellent dental care and professional service for years, I was shocked to see you had posted a negative review about your school system’s paperwork. In the past week, we were inundated with dozens of last-minute requests to fill out these forms. Yours (multiple) were actually the last ones to be dropped off. While I certainly do not mind filling out these forms, they do take quite a bit of time. Answering the questions on the form requires me to review of each patient’s records. These forms certainly DO NOT take precedence over our patients’ appointments for scheduled dental treatment. For 3 of the 5 days you mentioned, our office was closed. I was also surprised by your comment of not being able to “talk to the dentist person”. If you do walk in during business hours, I often will be with a patient. I really cannot walk away in the middle of a dental procedure to have a discussion. But I do take great pride in making myself available to all of my patients. I routinely make calls during lunch, after-hours and even on the weekends to answer patients’ questions or check on their comfort after procedures. In fact, I personally recall speaking with you regarding your children’s dental health after every one of their appointments. As for the school forms, some parents asked if I could complete the forms ASAP. When feasible, I was happy to accommodate their needs. If you had asked, I certainly would have done the same for you. Neither you nor your daughter, who actually dropped off the forms, expressed any sense of urgency. We agreed I would call you as soon as the forms were ready to be picked up. I did try twice to call you about this matter with the contact number you gave us, but there was no answer or voicemail to leave any message. Sincerely, Katerina Ashland D.M.D
