Dr. Energy Saver

I hired Dr Energy Saver a few years ago and my home has never been more comfortable. They air sealed and insulated my attic, waterproofed my basement, and installed the TripleSafe sump pump and Sedona dehumidifier. I thought my basement was dry before, but now I can see how much water/humidity gets pumped out every day. Both the sales and install teams were wonderful to work with!

We bought a 1950's ranch with fiberglass insulation in 2018 and hired Dr. Energy Saver to come rip out all the old insulation and blow in cellulose. Not only are we warm in the winter time but in the summer we'll keep the fans blowing the cool air in at night and in the morning we'll shut all the windows to keep it cool without even needing the air conditioner. Best investment we could have made regarding our energy bills!

Dr. Energy Saver removed my old attic insulation and replaced with blown insulation, put in an insulated attic door cover and added spray foam in my basement along with new basement windows. I see such an improvement in the temperature of the house in summer and winter! The crew was respectful of our property and worked fast and kept the site clean. Overall a great experience, highly recommend!

Buyer Beware! We contracted Dr. Energy Saver a while back to do some insulation work. We waited months for the service appointment. When the day finally arrived, the service crew came and looked at the proposed work. Within 10 minutes, they said they couldn't do the work being proposed. What? That kicked off many phone calls, emails and discussions with everyone and it was determined that the work could not go forward as proposed. I lost confidence in them completely as a result. The sales person was clearly not aware of what was realistically possible, so there is a large difference between what they say they can do and what the service team knows they can really do. Needless to say, we were very disappointed, especially waiting for so long. After the work was cancelled, I of course asked for a refund. Now, to be fair, the refund was eventually issued, but I am the one who had to push it forward, send emails and voice mails. There communication on this entire matter was very poor. I had to initiate everything and the sales person was so disengaged from it, it was in my opinion a complete customer service disaster. They basically sold something they could not actually pull off. I am glad it happened though because we did some additional research on other insulation contractors and we were able to find someone else that gave us far more confidence. We just had the work done and it is beyond our expectations and ironically much cheaper too! Dr Energy Saver needs to reconsider how they operate in my opinion.
