As technician in this industry take it from me that deans stove and spa is a place you do not want to do business with as they only install and do not service or maintain any appliance they install. they install cheap garbage liners and stoves. then just leave everyone else deal with there nightmares they should do everyone a favor in this industry and go out of business. Very disappointed with my Clementi Pizza Oven purchase from Dean's, as well as with the customer service and lack of product knowledge from the staff at Deans. The oven is just shy of 3 years old and fully covered with fancy stonework and a metal awning over the outdoor kitchen and the front of the oven (the half moon part) is rusting on the bottom right and bottom left. Both the Clementi website and Deans website indicates the oven is all stainless steel, which shouldn't rust. I called Deans to inquire if this was a warranty issue and it took over 4 weeks for someone to return my call to see if this was covered under the factory warranty. I spoke to two different people in the office and both had attitude and lack of product knowledge. In fact one of the staff told me to sand and paint the effected if I didn't like looking at the rust. Only one person named Marilyn had the common courtesy to call me back to discuss my issue and I did appreciate her reaching out to me. That said I was planning to purchase a new fireplace insert at Deans, but will no longer consider them as a result of my experience with them on my pizza oven debacle. Buyer beware! Mar 20th, 2024

Love that place! I bought a fireplace wood insert there 2 years ago. Been looking and working great everyday, all winter, heating the entire house. Haven't used my oil furnace in 2 years! And their prices are good. One of the best things I've bought over the years, along with EV and Solar Panels. Living off the grid!! :) Feb 26th, 2024

Hello Mr. Izzo,We’re sorry to hear of your frustration with the Italian-made pizza oven. While you may have reached out to us at the beginning of March, it was only on March 11th, 2024, that you provided us with a picture of the front of the oven, allowing us to fully assess the extent of your complaint. From the picture you provided, it is evident that you have inserted the appliance into a custom-made masonry enclosure. The unit is “sleeved” into this enclosure, and two pieces of what appears to be bluestone are mortared up against the front of the unit in the affected area where the rust is starting to show through the powder coating. Given the installation, it is obvious that moisture is going to build up in the area between the steel and masonry when not in use. Furthermore, if the powder coating was at all compromised during the installation of the oven, this would allow an easy path for the moisture to make its way between the exterior powder coating and the steel. While your Italian-made oven is manufactured to the highest standards and contains 304 stainless steel, the stainless steel is only used in areas where the structure could come into contact with food. This means that the exterior of the oven in this affected area is not made of stainless steel; it is powder-coated steel, and as a result, rust is possible. That said, if the moisture were allowed to run off and dry, it would not have rusted in this manner. The installation of the bluestone caused the problem.Fortunately, the gauge of steel used in your oven is extremely high. This issue can be easily rectified by removing the bluestone, eliminating the rust, and repairing the paint damage.Warranty coverage is handled by the manufacturer, Clementi SRL, not Dean’s Stove and Spa (the retailer). Our staff must follow the manufacturer's guidelines.Please consult your owner’s manual regarding your warranty coverage. Therein, you will find that Clementi SRL explicitly excludes ANY damage resulting from masonry works from coverage. We invite you to contact Clementi SRL directly to discuss this with them. If they feel coverage is warranted in your case, they will contact us to assist you further.Again, we are more than happy to assist you to the best of our abilities.
