We dined here a weekend ago with about 6 ppl in total in our party. The food was OK.. the appetizers were very good. The menu selection was different and I appreciate that about restaurants but... What i didn't like is that when ordering steak, if you order a medium rare steak you expect it to be just that. Not a slab of raw meat"literally" When telling the sever that it was not cooked correctly she told me that this is the way the chef prepares her steaks? and if you want med rare you need to ask for medium only.. why i don't know but that was the response? Also, when asking if I could add and addition such as mushrooms to my steak or asking for steak sauce the sever then replied with "the chef does not like to alter their creations" OK.. I understand this in some restaurants. I dine in some very high end places who have very unique menus. I get that random flavor combinations marry together beautifully. But again, this was a plain old "raw" steak that maybe had a hint of salt on it? The sides also fell flat. Not to mention my poor sister in-law who has a dairy allergy asked if she could have a potato with no butter and the answer was sorry it's all pre-made. If you are charging customers for 35+ dollars for a dish you should make sure you accommodate for food allergies & also allow some alterations when your meal options are basic . In this day and age this is a big thing and with all the other competing restaurant i'm a bit surprised. I can speak for the group of us that we were not satisfied. On a positive the service was quick and our server was a doll.
