Sears Hometown Store - Closed

Very unhappy with this store and the pushy owner who will do anything to make a sale. We had a refrigerator we bought from here stop working (more literally the freezer stopped working) so we wanted to return it. Call him and he is only trying to push repair and did not offer anything EXCEPT trying to sell me an extended warranty (which sales people make a good commission on, so that review about them being good because of this warranty made me laugh it is only a way for them to make more money) other then that stopping me short in my explanation and telling me to call the repair number. Unhappy with this I called Sears 800 number and they inform me I can return it to any store, including his. My husband goes there and he refused to take it back because he didn't have a sales receipt which is in the computer as we paid via paypal and I had an email confirmation, mind you we live a good 40mins from them and it is our closest store. Finally after an extra trip and the customer service number (they told us to call if he did not take it back) he takes it back but while he is on the phone with them he lies to them and tells them that we have it in the back of the truck and it's all dented and broken, a total lie! He hadn't even looked at it but it was in nearly new condition the only problem was the freezer didn't work. He is a liar and a cheat and does whatever he can to keep his commission on the sales, go to Home Depot. We found almost the exact same one for $130 less and they were kind and nice and their returns are easy and their sales people didn't lie about us. He also told us we can not get money back and they have to mail us a check, so I have had to call Sears again to confirm that the money is suppose to go back to our paypal account. I will have to keep an eye on it to make sure though as I don't trust them anymore.
