STANLEY BLACK & DECKER DOES NOT CARE ABOUT IT'S CUSTOMERS. I bought a craftsmans hammer drill. The drill is Junk, it failed under normal household use. They contract out their customer service who handles claims to a third party. The initial warrante claim was made 7/13/22. I had to speak with 5 different customer service people. Their email failed twice from being overwhelmed with claims. I never spoke with the same person twice despite mutilple attempts to each person to reach out, they ignored me. I was promised that my new drill would arrive on July 27th and in a desperate attempt to save face, one arrived 8/17/22. I wold give them zero stars if I could.

My wife purchased a Stanley Jr. Bulldozer Mechanic Kit from a store for my 8 year old grandson.  It basically looks like an erector set with screws, nuts and metal parts so he can put together a bulldozer.  Since I was helping him with this hands-on task, I looked ahead to make sure all the parts were there.  Alas, some nuts and screws were missing (not too many).  The screws were not the typical Phillips or Flat head design so I contacted Stanley to obtain the missing parts.  The tools provided in the kit would not fit Phillips or Flat Head screws.  I also provided the part numbers from the parts list.  They replied immediately and said that the kit came from their partner, Red Tool Box.  They asked for photographs of the box (URL code etc).  They also wanted to know the store name and price paid.  So I took photos of everything on the box including close-ups of the URL.  I sent them and after a few reminders finally got them to give me the name and contact information for their partner, Red Tool Box.  I contacted Red Tool Box and provided all the same photos and part numbers.  They said someone will get back to me.  No one did.  I contacted Stanley Black and Decker again.... and went through the same ritual again.  Same response from Stanley Black and Decker and same response from Red Tool Box.The only reason I didn't just go out and buy a buck's worth of nuts and bolts from the local hardware store is that they would not match the heads on the screws from the kit.So... this all started in  September, 2022.  Here is is February, 2023 and no effort from Stanley Black and Decker or Red Tool Box to supply me with the few missing parts.   I went out and purchased similar nuts and bolts for my grandson and will provide him the appropriate tools when he got to that part of the assembly.Bottom line.  It appears that Stanley Black and Decker and Red Tool Box are unconcerned about their customers.  If they aren't willing supply a buck worth of missing parts, heaven forbid what might happen if you have a $50 tool that needs work.  Put them out of business by not purchasing from them.

If this review was written a few years ago, I would have given higher marks. Instead, I purchased a tool with a two-year warranty and the company decided they're going to stop manufacturing parts.I purchased a garden tiller July 2021. By summer of 2022, one of the handles broke. I called customer service, who sent me the wrong part. I spent the next four months calling/emailing customer service to get the right part. In November 2022, I get an email saying "I apologize for the delay in response. Upon verification, it seems the handle has been discontinued." They went on to say: "We apologize for this situation and for the inconvenience we may cause. We hope you understand the practical limitations that prevent us from maintaining literature and parts indefinitely."I purchased this product with a two-year warranty, and you no longer honor that? I'll jump through the extra hoops needed to challenge this payment with my credit card company.

Purchased product # CHS60000 ("Cordless Powered Hand Saw") from my local Home Depot location. Have used the product 3-4 times since my purchase, with a 4-month gap of non-use of the saw. Today I attempted to use the saw, following page 6B illustration in connecting the power adapter. However, the saw did not power-on. Following instruction on the cover of my Instruction Manual, I am asked to phone 1-800-544-6986 "For any Reason" before returning the product back to the purchase location. Therefore, I phoned the number to inquiry about my issue with a B&D power tool specialists. An automated message told me that "unusual high call volume" was preventing CS from answering my call. However, 1 hour and 13 minutes later, after being told through the automated system that "(my) call would be answered shortly. Thank you for your patience.," the automated system finally confessed "We are not going to be able to help you today. Please visit us at our website for assistance." So I held for over 1 hour, received no assistance, was coerced to not return the product back to my purchase location, and then hung up on? Lousy and disingenuous CS.
