I retained Attorney Sherman for a matter in front of the Connecticut Board of Firearms Permit Examiners. I won my appeal on a 6-0 decision in my favor. While sitting and watching the other hearings before mine, I got to see the difference between hiring an attorney that was actually experienced in front of the board, versus using an attorney that was not. Attorney Sherman is the way to go, he pays attention, knows what questions to ask and truly will advocate for you. He is *not* just there to accept your payment and mindlessly go through the motions. He is thorough and passionate about what he does. I also think the board knows his face, and he has rapport with them, and that is also helpful to his clients in a subtle way. Very highly recommend, particularly for Connecticut pistol permit issues and appeals.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Attorney Ralph Sherman. Despite paying him 50% upfront, he refused to continue representing me and failed to refund my money. His lack of people skills was evident from the start he was rude and impossible to communicate with. When I asked him a question, he responded defensively, stating that I seemed to know more than he did, leading to him abruptly ending our professional relationship. I strongly advise against hiring him, as his behavior and unprofessionalism left me without the legal representation I paid for.

Attorney Sherman is well versed in navigating the draconian and purposely confusing CT firearm laws put into place by politicians who know nothing about firearms, and yet are protected by the same firearms and magazines they do not want citizens to own. It's always worth having an experienced attorney at the helm when doing anything firearm related in this state. Attorney Sherman is also experienced in the field of judicial expungements as well. Highly recommend Ralph for matters in the "constitution state" of CT related to firearms and expungement of records.
