This is a great, family owned hardware and paint store. In need of fasteners, I called first to make sure they had what I was looking for. The woman I spoke to was very nice, but knowledgeable too. Being told they had the fasteners, I headed right over. Upon arrival, I realized there was a little bit of a mix up, however, they had a reasonable substitute available and I prefer to give my business to this small business in lieu of a big box chain store. If we don't support these businesses, there will be none left, and we will have nobody to blame but ourselves. As for prices, this place is right in line with the big corporate stores. The store is clean, well organized, and well staffed. If you are in New Britain or the surrounding area and in need of items found in a hardware/paint store, I encourage you to give this place a try. I found my visit refreshing. Being able to talk to a person as the phone is answered; Priceless! Thanks Rutkowski's!!
