Was using an off-the-shelf competitors tune for my 2012 Golf R and had United Motorsport re-flash with their Stage 2 "Loaded" tune. So far its been about 2 months with the tune and I am very pleased with how the car has been running. I contacted Fred with questions about fuel trims and he was very helpful and did his best to answer my questions. When I got my car back the tune was set to call for 28 pounds of boost, a little high in my opinion but I was able to easily adjust the boost levels using VCDS. Might be slightly more expensive than some of the competition but I would recommend spending the extra money to have more control and a better overall tune that's tailored to your car.

I tried to get a tune from them multiple times. Horrible customer service and I spoke to the owner and he is the worst! Stay away from them as there are much better tuning solutions with far better customer service. I saw one person said he never refunded money after receiving a bad tune and felt the same thing would happen to me if I tried to use them. STAY AWAY!!!

Here is an honest and forth coming review. I went from APRLLC stage 2 to the United Motorsport stage 2/DSG/pro-flex tune. At first, I was questioning the performance of my tune. I was frustrated with how the car is performing but there are so many different variables that come into play can not just point the finger at UM and say the Tune is not up to par. Fred called me personally and helped clarify things. I can say for the most part the tune on the car is good. UM offers a lot more tuning options than most which is nice with the flex fuel upgrade and also the tuning of the halidex (awd system). In all honesty I would recommend United Motorsport, those that knock the customer service or say it sucks, just send an email or call a couple of times and Fred or Mike will respond. When there are only two people there need to be patient. Thanks again for calling me back and clarifying things! That in itself showed a ton!
