Scorpion Bar Foxwoods

We (a party of 4) went here on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the end of the bar for cocktails. Lauren was our bartender and greeted us as soon as we sat down. She spent several minutes welcoming us to "The Scorpion Bar" and describing several drink recipes and servings. After we had one cocktail, 2 younger men came in and sat next to us setting poker chips on the bar. After about 15 minutes it was obvious that these 2 had been drinking before they got there, they were loud and obnoxious. Our bartender Lauren quickly caught on to their condition, and informed the rest of the bar staff as well as management who all kept a close eye on them. At some point the guy that put poker chips on the counter lost his chips and asked us to empty our pockets lol. Except I wasn't laughing. I loudly let them know I didn't appreciate their accusations. Management comped our Nochos and was very apologetic, they gave the 2 guys a warning and threatened to remove them. The 2 drunk dudes started apologizing profusely to us and the situation was de-escalated. Bottom line is this: it's a bar/restaurant with a cool atmosphere and courteous professional employees. We only ate Nochos but observed several other plates come out and thought the food looked very good. We all said we'd have to go back sometime for dinner. I probably would not have written a review at all, but felt that the staff deserved kudos for their handling of a difficult situation. Thanks for an uhhhh interesting but fun time Lauren. Another BNEG establishment doing things right. This place has been around for awhile in Foxwoods. Nice restaurant early evening then transforms into bar/club scene. Food came out quick and hot. Servers are always nice and atmosphere matches the theme. Happy hour 5 to 6.

The food here was really good! I also enjoyed the coconut Margarita. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and accommodating. I only gave 4 stars because there were a couple of things I did not like. 1. The host told me I wasn't allowed to enter with a half a Cup of cinnobuns (how ridiculous) It wasn't a big deal, but obviously if I am entering your establishment I intend to eat and drink from the restaurant. Foxwoods is a place where people walk around and shop and carry stuff on them, and you really shouldn't dictate what people carry. Also, I sat at the bar and while in the midst of my dinner, to my surprise, at 9:40 I was approached and told they had to take my chair away, because they were preparing for nightclub mode. I found that to be so rude. Hopefully, these policies will be reviewed and adjusted so people feel like welcome guests.
