I usually do not like to write anything on these pages or complain about local businesses, however, I need to complain about The Lawn Surgeon. I have been a customer of theirs for awhile and recently moved, having them follow me to our new home. While our lawn was not in the best conditions, which we was well aware of, we had nothing but problems with the lack of communication, follow through with services, our billing sent to incorrect location despite multiple corrections, not returning calls and applying things to our lawn without permission, such as grub control, and being charged for it. Their staff members even refused to do things that they were hired to do, such as pull out poison ivy and dead shrubs. The owners condescending tone and disrespect to a customer was deplorable. I would NOT recommend using them for services, as even their billing representative is rude.

This was sent directly to us from a very satisfied customer- Tom Riedy of Killingworth, CT We’ve been talking with Bill the Lawn Surgeon for the last three seasons. We’ve had difficulty getting lawn to where we’d like it for years. After talking with Bill, we removed trees, thatched, aerated, over seeded, and added a proper fertilization program. After season one, there was a dramatic increase in appearance. Last year we stayed with the program ... and saw another big improvement. We plan to do it again this year. Bill is easy to work with. Responsive, especially by text. His work is first rate and is reasonably priced. And I like using a local company.

Bill is wonderful. We contacted him last Thursday when our landscaper (Scovills) recommended that we reach out to The Lawn Surgeon to help with our neglected lawn. Our landscaper is a family member of ours and they also use The Lawn Surgeon. They had a similar situation as us when purchasing their home but, with the help of Bill and his time, their lawn now is pristine. We purchased our home five months ago and it had been vacant and neglect for several years. Our lawn was barely a lawn and we had grubs, moles, weeds, the whole nine yards. When I contacted Bill, he texted me within an hour to let me know that he would love to take a look at our lawn and see how he could help. He came out to check out our lawn within 48 hours and explained everything that he felt needed to be done in order for us to see some positive results by next summer. Less than 48 hours later, he was at our home doing the work that we had previously discussed when he initially came out for a consultation. This was the most seamless and professional experience and it was completed so quickly. I look forward to Bill and The Lawn Surgeon completing all of our future lawn treatments and look forward to our wonderful lawn. I would recommend them to everyone!
