Great place for dinner, or just cocktails. Nice old charm to it.

We walked in with 5 people and had to wait to get seated. When we were escorted to our table, the restaurant was empty except 2 elderly ladies sitting in a corner. We ordered a drink, took quite awhile, waitress apologized. Took our food order, Took an extremely long time, while serving a couple plates, waitress informed us they didn't have one of the kid's meals and she forgot to put in one of the adults meals. When my meal came it had fried chicken instead of grilled chicken like I asked for. Waitress appeared annoyed when I pointed it out. This establishment definitely caters to the local bar scene and gave our party of 5 the impression that we were intruding on there normal routine!

The Victorian House has more of a dive-bar atmosphere than local restaurant. Its not a very professional establishment and its usually filled with regulars who take over the space. The food isnt terrible but its also not great. We ordered the buffalo wings and French onion soup to start. The Buffalo wings were good. They were crispy but not dry. the French onion soup was made with chicken broth which isnt my preference (French onion soup is normally made with beef broth). The soup also didnt have many onions and the bread was extremely soggy since it probably wasnt toasted. The French onion soup also did not come out until after our entrees were delivered. The waitress said she would make up for it by removing the soup from the bill, but then never did. About the entrees and our server my fianc ordered the shrimp wrap which was very mediocre, and I ordered the cheeseburger club. However, the waitress put the order in as the cheeseburger sliders. I let her know of the mistake and she sent it back. Our server wasnt very attentive and seemed to disappear for periods of time. The restaurant wasnt busy. The chef was nice enough to deliver the cheeseburger club to me and apologized for the inconvenience. It tasted pretty good. The fries arent very good. Theyre really thin so they had a stale taste. We have been here a couple times before so we already had low expectations when it came to atmosphere, but after this visit we will definitely not come back.

This was my first time here and I mad reservations as I didn't know what to expect on a Saturday night. The dining room was completely empty so we ate in the bar which was cozy and filled with regulars The food was good but I was disappointed that I was previewed the menu online and 2 of the items I had my heart set on were no longer being served. They need to update the menu!
