There was a gentleman on the vegetable station that seemed to be a manager. He was very short with the customers and his demeanor and body language made it quite clear that we were an inconvenience to him. When I asked for double meat on each of the sandwiches they added half of what they normally use. When I questioned the girl making my sandwich he interjected and said that is the way it's supposed to be. I didn't argue, but being a former Subway Manager and ordering the same sandwich every week I am 100% sure that is not the case. They look very closely at food cost and are short-changing the customers to keep it down. The "assembly line" they had set up was done poorly as well. The slowest employee was taking the initial orders and doing meats which meant that he and the cashier spent most of their time standing there waiting for her. Rather than help her they just stood there and watched. Bottom line is I did not get what I asked for and was over-charged for what I did receive and it took much longer than it should have. I'll drive the extra few minutes to hit the one downtown next time.
