They came out twice & still didnt fix my oven. They said the thermostat the company sent out was bad. Turns out they fried the thing. The guy that was here shocked himself twice. Thank God he wasnt hurt seriously. A shock from 220 voltage couldve been seriously bad or even fatal. Then they lied to me & said they couldnt remove the oven per the manufacturer instructions. I asked the manufacturer about that & they told me he made that up. I would never let this company into my house again!

I have had issues with my oven twice now. The first time was under manufacturers warranty and the second was under a long term warranty that I purchased. The first time, the warranty company assigned Ed for service. The second time, I requested Ed of the new warranty. Each time Ed has been to my house to repair my oven, he has been communicative and punctual. He has arrived each time with the tools to diagnose the issue as well as the parts necessary to fix my oven immediately. I have a double oven. On the second trip, Ed diagnosed a secondary issue that was about to arise and replaced an additional part before it became an issue. I'll have Ed back to my house again and would certainly recommend him to others. Service: General repairs

I had two technicians come out to repair my stove. Neither one was able to identify the problem. Ed was able to identify the problem and fix the issue in one visit. Quick, punctual, and professional.

Had a washing machine that was under warranty through Squaretrade. When it began to leak, I called them. They set the repair date of the 18th, but then realized the parts would not be here until then, so changed my appointment date to the 29th. Edwin began calling at 8 am on Dec. 22nd. I didn't answer because I was trying to sleep in on my day off. He kept calling every 30 minutes. When I got frustrated and answered the phone, he told me he was in the area and wanted to stop by and get it done. I told him no, I had plans and it was three days before Christmas; I had a house to decorate and gifts to wrap. My mildly-leaking washing machine was not a priority for me right before the holiday. Also explained that we had an appointment set for the 29th and would see him then. On the 28th, he again began calling at 8 am to tell me he was in the area and wanted to stop by. I explained that I work two jobs and had three doctors appointments that day, and that our appointment was scheduled for the following day. He agreed to come out at 3pm the next day. HOWEVER, at 4pm on the same day (the 28th) my phone starts ringing AGAIN to ask me if I'm SURE he can't come by today. By now, I was feeling harassed (he's called me no less than 12 times in 6 days) and he was clearly sending the message that his schedule was much more important than my mine and my husband's work schedules. I looked him up, and imagine my surprise to find that several people have indicated he does shoddy work, that he is a scammer, and that another customer believes he stole their wedding ring from a desk drawer in their office. He was definitely convicted of larceny in 2007, and has had his plumber's and electrician's licenses both revoked in the past. He has also done work without proper permits. It really makes me wonder why he seemed so desperate to get into my house. He did NOT install the parts that SquareTrade sent to my house; he took them with him when he left. He gave my husband, who is a contractor with over 30 years of experience, some lame excuse that hair in the washing machine (which I clean out at least once a week) was keeping the door from sealing and therefore the washer was leaking from underneath. He claims to have fixed it, but we are doubtful. Time will tell. Would NOT recommend this guy to anyone. My husband was not impressed, and I spent over a week being harassed by phone. Not a good experience.

ERL Electric was assigned to us by our home warranty company Select Home Warranty. He came out to "fix" our hot water heater. He immediately demanded his $75.00 call fee which we gladly paid. He diagnosed the issues and replaced the parts including the thermostat and hot water elements. 24 Hours later, we still do not have any hot water. When we called our warranty company to complain the next day, they got in contact with him and he then stated that it was an electrical despite not coming to the home under warranty to ensure that it was collecting $275.00 the day before in order to complete the job. If it was indeed an electrical issue, that should of been diagnosed the day that he came out. This contractor has negative reviews. He also refused to come back out to look at the water heater even though he is under warranty. I would not recommend. Service: General repairs
