        Talk about a slap in the face. Be prepared to leave this process feeling judged and inadequate to care for a dog. Dog Star rescue reached out to 3 personal references who verbally vouched for me and then conducted a phone interview with me before declining my adoption application. The best part is, their email signature is a big cute phrase, until they all have a home
