Awesome location. no lines at the lift and minimal distance to the lift. staff was super friendly and helpful. Game room was a big hit with the kiddos as well as the outdoor pool and hot tub. highly recommended.
Walkability: 30seconds walk to the lift that doesn't have a line. Easy to ski back or take the lift back to the hotel. Shuttle bus is very frequent and gives easy access to vail village or lion's head village

Like the Cetric in downtown Denver, this hotel does not live up to the quality level of its high category 7 rating. The room was small compared to other suites I have stayed in at other categories 5 and below hotels. The room was poorly maintained with none functional AC/ heating. The thermostat had an error on it saying balcony. I had one maintenance person reboot it but still failed later. Had then come up again and set to VIP mode to bypass the balcony door sensor, which fixed it. The balcony door was marked with 2 red dots to fix since it did not shut right, causing the problem. Thus, I was knowingly gi en broken room or maintenance is not communicating to front desk. The front desk was understaffed with only one person. The room was noisy due to being right at the front entrance where shuttles and all guests arrived at d depart. The view was poor since on the highway side of the hotel instead of the ski lift mountain side. There is no late checkout here. When I called the day of arrival, I was told to check with the front desk in the morning. I called and was put on hold due to an understaffed front desk and was then told they were sorry but could not fulfill the request. Basically, sorry is my rating on this hotel. This was my greatest disappointment in 8 years of luxury hotels I have reviewed.
Overall, from the room I was given, I consider this to be the worst Hyatt per category I have reviewed. It would be 1 star if not for its great ski and amenities. I would not recommend this hotel unless you are a skier. I will certainly never return until the dysfunctional room inspection process is fixed.
