What a wonderful experience! We have eyeballed this place for a year, and finally decided to go. Red Cliff is a small isolated town with an extremely close-knit community. The hotel is also the local store, and everyone is more than happy to chat!
The hotel itself is a large structure located at the entrance to the town, across from the Post Office and Mango's Mountain Grill. The rooms are clean, the beds comfy, and quite fine for a couple. We have a 12 yo, and after some thought got another room (there are adjoining rooms for larger groups).
Vail and BC are less than 30 minutes away. The town itself is easily walked, and I encourage folks to take the walking tour seen in the Red Cliff flyer (pick it up at check-in). Do make the trek to the cemetery, under the Green Bridge, and up the road to Shrine Pass.
We were quite taken by the hospitality, and will return!

We had a great stay here! The rooms were very clean and the service was awesome. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We got engaged while we were here visiting the area on a ski trip and the hotel was very kind to give us a gift basket and champagne. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area. Thank you so much for the engagement gift and champagne!

We were greeted by Katie when we checked in and she instantly made us feel welcomed, my wife and I can't say enough good things about her. Our room was very comfortable and the small town atmosphere is charming. If you're planning on going to Vail, you can stay here and save yourself a lot of money and have a very comfortable stay only 30 minutes away from Vail.
Katie recommended us to stop in Minturn for breakfast on the way to Vail and we're happy we did. The sunrise Minturn restaurant has awesome breakfast and lunch. Thanks again Katie, you're awesome!
