PFC James Dunn VA Clinic

I show up to pickup my hearing aid at my scheduled appointment time of 0730 14 March. I find out that the appointment was canceled. Now I have to wait another month. All this just to pick up hearing aids that are at the clinic.

The psychiatrist at the Pueblo VA ruined my life. I was set to graduate with a Masters. I had hair and all my teeth. Then I moved here. Do NOT go here. Buy private insurance if you can afford it. Otherwise you will end up like me with no future.

I honestly have no idea how this place is allowed to operate. Moved here back in October, Wait times are close to 4 months... Then you find out the appointment isn't even with the right person. You go 2 almost 3 months without any medication and still continue to go on without medication. You buy a dog for mental health. go back to the VA and tell them you need paperwork for an emotional support animal and then they say "I don't understand what you need help with" I am speaking plain english and they don't understand what appointment to set, or with who. I call and explain this and it's 25 minutes of someone beating around the bush of actually making appointment. This place is 0 help. I got here in October and it is now March and I have recieved 0 help from any of the staff. The Patient advocate also seems helpless.

Horrible place and dont expect to get proper care. Understaffed and not able to meet patient needs. Expect for cheap treatment and to be misdiagnosed and mistreated. Good luck getting any real things done as the va is backed up months to year and referrals will take a year and hundreds of phone calls. I hope the va is replaced by private care as that is the only place you will get real treatment. The psychologist are even worse and expect to get medicated for physical injuries rather than mental health. Dr. Paul wanted to medicate me because I was expressing frustration and anger due to va not providing over 3 needed surgeries and was impacting my life and dr. Paul promised to look into my case but ended up not doing so and when I expressed frustration due to horrible treatment dr. Paul wanted me medicated and said my coping mechanism lack. Who the hell is suppose to suffer physically and have psych say its all mental and you need to come better to horrible medical treatment that is of malpractice and mistreatment. Thankfully I was able to report to the OIG of va and get sent to private care to Centura where I have gotten great care and have my surgeries taken care of and o can finally sleep after havin a spinal fusion, right shoulder surgery and right ankle for torn ligaments. Night and day difference between private care and va care. Private care gets me care in a week or so but va takes at least a year.
