Steel City Solar was very Professional from the installation process all the way to the loan process! The crew came in and respected my property and did a great job! Rachel & Ashley were very helpful and seem to love their job! They are local & that means everything! Very pleased! Highly Recommend!

Great business to work with. From the beginning with the sales rep all the way to the end with setup and activation. Very friendly and got the process done quickly. Very pleased!

In my opinion, this is a Very untrustworthy company! You should not be allowed to run a customer's credit and then hit them with almost a 50k upcharge due to a "so-called miscalculation"... Note also, they are leaving FAKE 5-star reviews for their company. Dan barborich left a 5-star review and he is the "Sales director" of the company, what a shame! If you have a good company, why do you need to leave reviews on your own company? I would question many of the other 5 star reviews, especially the ones that have the same names as the companies members... Worked with James Cole on this transaction. James told us he did a 7k system for a friend that cost around 22k so we had them come out and quote us on a 6kw off-grid system. Received a quote for the off-grid setup right at 42k which was surprisingly much higher than the 22k mentioned. He said the reason for the higher cost was "Unfortunately being an off-grid system it really is the batteries and inverter that is required that are driving up the cost of the system" and that their Solar systems did not cater to an off-grid setup. The quote included 2 (10k each) Fortress batteries. Worked through some details with them over the course of a month, agreed to the 42k and the credit check for financing. Everything looked acceptable and we were ready for them to get the ball rolling. Then I get a call (after our credit was run...) and after some beating around the bush, we were told the price has gone up to 88,000. This isn't a miscalculation or forgetting to carry the 1. He said the 42k "misquote" was for materials only, so labor is 46k??? We NEVER would have accepted this offer at 88k!! Now our credit has been hit...for what reason, to get customers to accept offers, then hit them with ridiculous unexplained upcharges... I understand the price of things has gone up and there are shortages due to the pandemic. Off-Grid systems are more expensive than grid tied due to batteries. This however was outrageous. I would recommend going with a company that is upfront with you from the beginning. Strongly do not recommend this company.
