ZERO STARS!I purchased approximately 100 native plants at $5 each and when I picked them up and took them home to plant them, they were completely infested with mosquitos and larvae. They tape the containers together so the moisture is locked in between the plastic and  there is just enough space between the plastic containers (I'm talking mm) for larvae to thrive. I called them to let them know (to prevent it from happening to others) and it took a full week for a call back. When the woman called she would t allow me to speak (kept talking over me) as she was SO CONCERNED with not taking responsibility and accused me of waiting to plant the plants (I unloaded from my car and took out back to plant immediately) because I called a few days later rather than immediately. "What happened in the FIVE days it took for you to call?" I'm sorry I am an RN, working 12 hour night shifts, and you have limited hours. It was not 5 days but 3-4 and I tried calling a few times and kept getting a recording so finally left a message. When I told her I work 12 hour shifts she stated "Hmmmm... interesting" in a sarcastic tone. She also said she was waiting to hear from others which she said she didn't.... When I picked up my plants there were other orders of 2-3 plants waiting to be picked up... not 100 plants all taped together in a wet mess. She yelled "well it did not happen here!" Ok lady... I was NOT calling for any reason other than to inform you of the situation so it could be addressed and fixed (not looking for replacements or money back) but after your rude and narcissistic attitude you WILL be hearing from my attorney. My son documented the mosquitoes flying around in my car on video just after picking the plants up, and I have video of us unloading them and peeling apart the roots to see the infestation. I also called 2 of my neighbors over to see it (and ask for their advice) I ended up washing the roots clean of all soil and treating the soil with essential oil mix known to kill larvae. The plants look terrible (probably from the shock of it all) and some have even died. I would never recommend buying anything from High Plains Environmental Center. They obviously don't care about the environment and I don't think I have EVER spoke with anyone as rude in my life... not that she let me speak more than a few sentences.... She was too busy accusing ME and denying any responsibility. Horrific experience and a complete waste of over $500!
