Dr.McCluggage has helped my German Shepherds with digestive issues, arthritis, etc. when other vets could not. I love that he incorporates acupuncture, herbs, and chiropractic in his care when needed. Staff is fabulous. Highly recommend!

My dog is thriving under Dr Daves care. He gets regular acupuncture and chiropractic treatments. He is 13 and is as youthful as a much younger dog. My dog LOVES coming here, (even after getting a dental cleaning!)

We made the mistake of not reading enough on their website to realize this was a holistic vet, that is on us.
However, I am in shock of how it was handled.
We came in for shots and a refill on meds (we just moved around the corner, wanted a close vet).
We quickly realized they werent really supportive of giving our dogs the shots we need for daycare or the meds for our dogs anxiety that she has been on for a long time (that is O-K, different values). He told us they arent required, however for our found daycare it is, plus were taking a traditional route.
Realizing it was a bad match, we asked what we could pay to essentially leave then, he wouldnt really tell us and seemed frustrated.
We asked the vet to give us a moment to talk privately (reasonable) the vet got visibly angry, SLAMMED the door and immediately started s*** talking us to the entire staff loudly so we could hear. Wed already asked him what he would charge us for just having weighed them and he wouldnt give us a straight answer and stated most of the expense was talking about vaccines um you mean the 10 minute unsolicited lecture he gave us?
The whole reason we asked him to leave, so we could privately talk to discuss what to do, how to get a straight answer on price since he literally wouldnt give us a price to part ways at that moment. We would have paid a cancellation fee, a small fee for weighing them, etc had he been professional.
Once he slammed the door and talked poorly about us loudly, we didnt really feel like we owned them anything any longer. It was very weird how he literally couldnt tell us the price of ending the visit. If the pricing needs to be told by the front desk, then say that. He just kept avoiding the topic, asking to finish the exam and sayings why we dont need vaccines.
Once he threw a temper tantrum, we decided to just leave as they had only weighed the dogs and lectured us.
Honestly, if he had just told us hey, seems like you were looking for a regular vet, we are holistic, we might not be a good fit for you, well charge you $X but the fact that he was rude, slammed the door and talked poorly about us right there? Absolutely not. We made an error, people make mistakes, we went to the wrong vet, no reason to treat us that way. Im supportive of people doing holistic vs western, but have a sense of professionalism. The respect was not mutual.
Some would maybe say to avoid this vet because its too holistic, personally I support all types of medicine, human or animal. Why I wouldnt recommend this vet is how cruel and rude he was to us for not sharing his values and only trying to part ways.
Edit in response to the other review: my post on nextdoor was nearly identical to this review. I am not looking to close anyones business, I support alternative methods. Someone in the comments on nextdoor said that and I dont agree. My pups were scared enough to be at the vet, didnt need the vet yelling at us and slamming doors and scaring us all because we didnt see eye to eye. We told them our dog has anxiety, why would you blow up in front of them?
