Went to the Dr with a serious sinus infection, Dr: “Sounds like a sinus infection, stay hydrated get rest” **doesn’t prescribe antibiotics We made another appointment with our medical provider in Summit (we live in Leadville) who properly diagnosed and prescribed something that will help. My husband suffered for days, then finally got in Monday at the Leadville clinic to only make an appointment 2 days later with our usual doctor who told us it will take another 5 days to feel better. Poor poor care. That Leadville clinic is a joke, will not ever return.

If I could give zero stars I would. I had an appointment for 8 am just to find out if I was actually pregnant. It took six and a half hours of being at the hospital to get what I needed for about an hour of actual work. They had me waiting hours between each service without any updates. Dr. Peatry is a not a good doctor. He is not a nice nor prompt or efficient with his patients. He was rude and had attitude from the first time he spoke to me. He never apologized for any delay. I never even got a, Congratulations you’re pregnant or anything. Zero information on what to expect with this first child of mine. Processes in this hospital are broken with old doctors stuck in old ways that provide unacceptable service to the community.

Taryn Barrette is a top notch medical provider. She is well informed and easy to communicate with. I am very pleased with my overall experience with this clinic.

Good service by the doctors, beware if you don’t have insurance. They were very vague about the pricing, quoting rates starting at $40, but didn’t tell me that they were going to charge 3x as much for a checkup because I was a new patient. Would not recommend unless you have insurance. *UPDATE* This billing system is horrid. Thought I had paid for everything when I left my appointment, only to receive another bill in the mail. Called to ask about it, and they tried to reassure me by saying they had given me a discount. $40 discount on a $200+ bill when I was originally told "its a $40 minimum payment." No. This is not ok. This is taking advantage of people who need help, without giving them the whole picture. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVER, TO ANYONE!!! *GO TO ZWERDLINGER'S RMFP OFFICE INSTEAD!!!* Rocky Mountain Family Practice offered sliding scale payment and were totally honest about the billing up front, saying they would let the doctor know of my circumstance so I would not be billed for anything I didn't need.
