  • Lost My Toaster

    To be honest light gig is the worst internet provider I have ever had.. constant “outages” almost every single day! For the past month my personal hotspot on my phone has been better then using the wifi!! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

    Had Elijah R. As our installation tech and provided great service, was friendly, insightful, and helpful in explaining what was being done. He helped me set up my router too and made sure it was working for us before he left. Overall, GREAT EXPERIENCE.

    Update: We have had this service since Mid January. I’ve taken a screenshot from some of the outages so consumers can see the amount of time the internet is down isn’t an exaggeration. And I didn’t include any“scheduled Maintenance” emails because those are about once a week! The least reliable internet service we have ever had. I work from home and have had repeated internet outages that are forcing us to look into moving. If you rely on the internet for your job be careful and make sure you move to an area where you can get internet service from a reliable provider…. Definitely not LightGig. Also during these repeated outages they have no one in customer service to speak to. They just have a recording stating they have an outage. No ETA or explanation of when it might be back. Like I said, if your job depends on reliable internet don’t use this company.

    Long story short, we have bad cell phone reception at my house (north of Windsor, CO). It's bad enough that I need a cell phone booster just to make calls. The booster runs off my internet service. We have a lot of "outages" thru Lightgig, just as some of the other reviews on here say.... which for us means no phone, TV, laptop, etc. There's a ton of building going on here, so I can understand the line being cut now and again, and also the scheduled maintenance. Coming from broadband, we noticed immediately that the fiberoptic is extremely fast. The technicians that got us hooked up were very helpful, friendly,, and knowledgeable at their job. Overall we are pleased with Lightgig. A few hours here and there of my phone not ringing and the kids having to be a bit more creative is a blessing in disguise. If I ran a home based business, was a day trader or something similar, I would probably look elsewhere for an internet provider.
