I've now had 2 experiences recording albums here with engineer/producer Pete DeBoer. The man is keeping analog recording alive and does so as a consumate pro. Decades of experience, a wide range of skill sets applying to all sorts of music, a museum of recording gear, and he grows a mean mustache. 10/10 would record again.

One of our newer projects (The Sounds of Steelmaking) just finished a full-length with Pete at WFS's and couldn't be happier with the product. This was a lighter arrangement than we normally do, including acoustic guitar, piano and synth, and the overall balance is perfect. We would highly recommend doing your next album with Pete - amazing experience!

Pete helped me get the best quality out of a small project I had. He was quick, thorough, professional, and made the whole experience really enjoyable! I definitely recommend him, and will go back to him for any future projects.

We hired Pete to help us take on a personal project riddled with complicated tracks and unconventional engineering, which he was aware of and agreed to take the project on regardless. We paid him up front for the first song which he was enthusiastic over and attentive to. After giving him a huge tip for the work done on the first song we paid in full to have him start on the second one. The project was stalled for 2 months for reasons on both sides. When we tried to reignite the song (which was much less complicated than the first one) he could not get back into it with any enthusiasm at all, dragging his feet and handing me tracks that sounded like he put very little time into mixing them. I showed frustration with this and he immediately canceled our sessions, keeping all of my money and handing me recordings of unfinished songs that are unusable. A very expensive, disappointing experience.
