The sale of my house required successful mitigation. The first radon mitigation system company came to my house and told me there was nothing they could do. I started to freak out. A few days later, Jeff, of Affordable, gave me a call, because someone in the realtors office recommended them. Once Jeff heard I had dirt below my wood subfloor, he immediately told me they needed to install a vapor barrier. Once I told him how big my basement was, he immediately quoted me the price over the phone. My wife told me a previous contractor, 10 years earlier, told her the craw space had a beam running from end to end, so they couldnt do something under our subfloor. When I told Jeff about the beam (see attached photo), he told me it shouldnt be an issue, because they could cut another hole in the subfloor if his technician couldnt crawl below the beam. He sent a technician out about a week before the scheduled work, to ensure they could do the job. He told me there would be no problem doing the job. After starting my radon mitigation worrying if it could be done, I was confident that Affordable could handle it. They did a great job. Our interaction with their staff was a pleasure. I highly recommend Affordable, because they gave me confidence from my initial call to the end of the job. I have included 2 photos of the evacuation system, so you can see how the system looked after the job was finished. The pipe inside the house goes through the wooden sub-floor and interfaces with the vapor barrier that covers all the dirt.

My system was shaking my whole house and causing issues due to noise and vibration. The gauges were also not functional and we were concerned. They contacted me quickly, listened to my concerns, worked around my schedule, and fixed all of our issues in less than an hour at an extremely reasonable cost. They did not try to sell us things we didn't need, and have a fantastic warranty on the newly installed motor for the system. The technician was kind, polite, and understanding of our crazy dog and messy yard. Thank you so much!!!!
