My wife and I enjoyed this spot. We will definitely return. The staff was all wonderful, the food was definitely above average. Calamari was awsome. For some reason, there was a clear dynamic between the bartender and staff, so we did not get all the drinks we would have liked. Food : 5/5 | Service : 3/5 | Atmosphere : 5/5 More

Just a great dining experience! The preparation and presentation were outstanding. Nice warm environment. Our waiter paid just the right amount of attention to us. Rib eye was tender, flavorful and cooked to my liking. We will go back again for sure. Looking forward to eating on their patio.

BEST STEAKHOUSE IN DENVER! Worth the drive! Tucked away in small town Kittredge west of Denver, this romantic little steakhouse served one of the best steaks Ive ever had! Also amazing French onion soup and warm huckleberry bread pudding is to die for!

If you are looking for a nice quiet atmosphere with a lovely decor and an amazing staff then this is your place. There is a cool western theme about the place, a full bar and a menu with something for everyone. I learned a few things about different cuts of beef. I started with the Traditional Escargot, I have to say this is one of the best escargot dishes I have ever had. The bread that they bring to the table was fresh and warm and just the right size for the two of us. I ordered the Cowboy ribeye with the creamed corn, the steak was cooked to perfection. This steak is one of 2 that I have gotten that cut and eat bite by bite, I savored each and every one. The creamed corn was house mad and delicious. My wife got the filet and it was super thick and cooked just as she ordered. For dessert I ordered the crme brulee with the fresh berries on top and my wife got the chocolate delight. We were both pleased with our entire meal, our waiter was funny and informative, the menu had something for everyone. The Black Hat is definitely a must try if you are in the area. Well done BHCC!!

Great atmosphere w great potential, but our server's "sense of humor" took away from our celebration. His recommendation for the special 38oz steak was quite extreme (he physically closed our menu). My selection was met with an eye roll and frustrated hand gestures (kobe beef delux burger- it reminded me of our special time traveling). My decision to NOT drink alcohol and my husband's decision to "only" have a $19 whiskey cocktail and a $14 glass of wine were also not enough for him ("it's your anniversary!"). He jokingly refused to bring us dessert menu bc we needed to get his recommended tiramisu from nearby bakery, and our choice of another dessert was met with yet again an eye roll and frustrated hand gestures. I could be fine with this "humor," if our steak had less fat and if my burger was at least cooked medium as requested, rather than burnt to extreme that it was near unedible. I wished I had joked that I was being punished for order a burger at a steak house. Overall, It was one of the most uncomfortable ~$200 dinner ever. I've never been so judged for my choices, esp for not drinking alcohol (personal reasons) with no water refill. If I may, my recommendation would be to respect the guests' selections and if there's something you'd rather have guests refrain from ordering, simply take them off the menu. Will not return. Will not recommend this experience to others.
