I came to Strive looking for a community where my kids could grow in strength, confidence and peace of mind. I didn’t realize that I’d get those gifts for myself too, just by being there and watching my kids blossom and deepen as people. As their bodies strengthen, so does their awareness of how they want to be in the world. They face challenges with clearer intention, confidence, and compassion. The Strive philosophy & style of teaching create a fun, focused, respectful space to learn – not just martial arts – but about healthy boundaries and personal responsibility. I’m so grateful for the life training we get through Strive.

Strive is a fantastic program for kids and adults! Coach Dan and his team provides a comprehensive self-defense curriculum for developing physical strength and decision-making skills. His classes are so fun and engaging!

My family has been attending classes at Strive Martial Arts and Fitness in Highlands Ranch for over a year. Coaches Daniel Vigil and John Kimmich are highly-trained professionals who teach mixed Martial Arts in a way that keeps kids and adults engaged while learning great life skills. There is no other Martial Arts school comparable in the area. Strive Martial Arts offers training for the whole family from kids and family Martial Arts classes to fitness and strength training. Class schedules vary throughout the week to work with anyone’s schedule. If you’re looking to begin Martial Arts, or are in need of fitness training, I would highly recommend Strive for all ability levels. You will not be disappointed.

As a friend and training partner of Dan, the owner of Strive, I've been very blessed and inspired to see someone teaching martial arts the right way. There are so many fakers in the industry who teach ridiculous techniques that only work in practice and would never be effective in a real life self defense situation. There are a few, select places where one can learn real, effective combatives that may one day save your life or your child's life. Strive is one of those places. Not only does Dan create a professional, comfortable environment for his clients (especially children), but he has decades of experience in his craft and is uniquely skilled at coaching. He's surrounded himself with a great team of like minded individuals. There may be many choices of martial arts studios in the Centennial and Highlands Ranch areas, but none will teach you real, effective combat martial arts the way that Dan and his team at Strive can.
