Love this place and the people who work here. All you people with bad reviews probably just bring bad energy with you! Such a unique place for a meal and experience. Reminds me of being back in Europe.

Really bad. 1 hour to get the food we ordered. Orders were wrong. Spilled ketchup on two people. Overpriced, food was meh. Find somewhere else.

My girlfriend and I shared a wonderful experience in downtown Golden, alongside Clear Creek in the moonlight--at the best seat Grappa had to offer. The waitress escorted us to our table, and immediately brought us water (no ice for me upon request). The bread was brought to us fresh and warm, the dipping oil was a little sweet, tangy, and light. My girlfriend loves gnocchi, so the Gratiné Gnocchi Genovese‚ was a must-order when we saw it on the list. I was feeling adventurous so I requested the chef make me food upon his own whim. In addition, not being much of a wine-specialist myself, we asked the server to bring us his recommendations on the wine to properly pair our food. The gnocchi, at least, had to be baked so we had a small gap in between bread and main course, but the clatter among the other guests from nearby tables seemed to be properly enjoying their meals--our appetites were certainly growing. The wines showed up first, we received a white and a red. I'm not good enough to describe wines, other than I know the white wine was very "crisp". Then the main courses showed up and I realized they stood so well with the food, and that is really all I needed (and requested). I was presented the Grappa Crab Cakes and the Open Lobster Ravioli--by themselves appetizers, but each obviously specialties of the chef. The gnocchi was pillowy and soft, the parmesan was sitting crisp atop and somehow my girlfriend managed to eat the whole dish. The crab cakes fell apart easily to the fork but maintained proper structure and consistency to the touch. The lobster was subtly the star of the ravioli dish, but, more importantly, was celebrated beautifully by the seasoning. We had a great experience with the food here. Please try it.

What a wonderful experience! My boyfriend surprised me with a dinner out and we had a beautiful table right along the creek. I had the gnocchi which was so incredibly rich and spectacular, perfectly portioned. Really great texture and taste. My boyfriend had the crab cakes, which were the best I have ever had, and lobster ravioli, which was also amazing. Additionally, we had perfect wine pairing to go with. The owner was there, and he was so kind to take the time to talk to us. Would recommend this place 100%.
