I moved away three years ago and have been searching for a gym that I will like as much as Miramont ever since. After reading countless gym reviews in yet another new town, I felt compelled to write one about Miramont. I had a membership at central and loved basically everything about it. The employees were all super nice and friendly. The facilities and locker room were very clean, and they provide both sweat and shower towels. The showers have shampoo/conditioner/body wash so you don't necessarily have to bring your own. There is a nice area with lots of mirrors for getting ready in the morning- and they provide free coffee! The lockers are the set-your-own combo type, so no need to bring a lock. I never had trouble finding a locker. I mostly took yoga classes, but liked the variety of different styles. I had my favorite instructors, but really all were good. The locker room has a steam room AND a sauna. Equipment is modern- last time I was in town I got a week-long guest membership and found that all of the treadmills had been updated to fancy new ones with individual screens. I worked with a trainer briefly and he was also great. I miss Miramont, and wish my current town had a similar gym!

I am a fairly new member at Miramont and mainly joined this particular gym for the convenience of being located just across the road from our house (central location). The things me and my partner are mainly looking for in a gym are Spin classes, Yoga and climbing. While we're glad to have found all this in one gym at Miramont we are disappointed by the Spin bikes (I can only speak for the central location) as they don't have computers to track wattage and RPM which are very handy to gauge your effort and track your progress on the bike. This should be standard equipment in a gym offering spinning classes. Teachers are great so far but we'd like to see more structured and theme based classes (e.g. VO2max, Tabata, strength/climbing, hills etc.). Climbing wall is OK, though small. And some more Yoga classes as well as a more diverse Yoga schedule would be cool. Child care is convenient and the staff at the North location was great, the staff at the central location doesn't seem to be as enthusiastic about playing and spending time with kids.
