Cascades Restaurant

It was just 2 of us and we both had the whiskey and peach glazed duck, which was one of the better meals Ive ever had in my life. The duck was cooked absolutely perfect, the fingerling potatoes were incredible and so was the asparagus. It was $45 a plate but worth every penny! I live about 2 hours from Estes park and will definitely be back there to eat again. I also had fish tacos the day before for lunch which were also fantastic. Highly recommended!

2024: Look, one good experience does not a redemption make, but we just had a truly excellent dinner here. I don't know what changed, but someone cleaned this place up *well*, and it's actually staffed. The place is physically cleaner, the service is 10x better, and the food is superb. They did nearly double their prices, but it is worth it. The bison ribeye was perfectly cooked, and the duck was the best I've ever tasted. I also strongly recommend the port flight. I cannot praise this place enough for its stellar improvement. Definitely try it if you get the chance! The one thing I will say is that charging for sides separate from an entre is flat-out weird. September 2023: The cocktails are delicious and the barkeeps are friendly, but this place has gone very downhill, very quickly. The food is passable but not great- the steak flight was ordered at one temp and came out in three, ranging from blue to rare- the servers are decent, but typically rushed/stressed, and it's just not providing the quality and care which would justify its prices. Otherwise the only thing separating this place from an Outback is that Outback is consistent and less likely to price gouge, and the ambiance is nicer here, except for the sore need of a deep clean.

Had a great experience. The food was tasty, the mood was pleasant and the waiting time was good. We had Mihai as a waiter, very nice and funny guy, told us jokes, and all around we had a blast.
