So I have waited a week for a response from dr. Casanova before leaving a review to give her a chance to kindly clarify my tests and results. Nothing was explained well from the getgo. Got an ultrasound as soon as I got into the room, no one advised me of that. They had me leave a sample and did not tell me what they were testing with the sample. She talked me into a catheter sample being taken from my bladder in the first 2 minutes in the room I was really hesitant but trusted her recommendation to do it.
I emailed 7 days ago requesting clarification on the tests dr Casanova performed, and the results and no one will answer me to clarify and there isn't a result to check myself in the app. I have a newborn so I really trusted the Dr to take care of me and be respectful of my time and needs to do anything painful or invasive in my lower region in the first visit. All she keeps saying is she's supporting her theory. Ok.
I don't appreciate the lack of communication especially after entrusting the Dr is performing a painful invasive test (which she guaranteed would not be painful) which now didn't seem necessary until getting preliminary results back. Looking back I should have declined as it was uncessary during visit one. She also recommended PT and I told her I needed something close to the house and she referred me to someone nearly 30 minutes away when there are 5 PTs within 5 miles of my house.
I should've researched her before going to see her as her former practice has pretty bad reviews and uc health only posts her positive reviews. I won't be returning and already canceled my follow up appointment with her. Unless you know what you need done I wouldn't recommend her to a friend.
On a positive note there was basically no wait time and I got in quickly when referred. The latter probably a red flag. I'd be happy to take down my review if I am mistaken about anything mentioned. But no one will reach out.
