Safeway

I always liked this Safeway. It was clean and well stocked. I will not shop at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market nearby. Sorry to say this location is closing so I guess I will have to go to the King Soopers on Monaco or the one on Cherry & Leetsdale. The Safeway store on Mexico and Havana is not as good. I do have to agree with others, they never had enough checkers, especially in the evening, and there was always a line.

Without fail there is never more than 2 registers open at this location, regardless of how many customers are waiting to check out. I avoid going to this location unless an absolute necessity prevents me from doing so. I've also seen swarms of fruit flies in the donut case on one occasion.

I was able to find all the things I needed easily, and the staff there was friendly. They weren't out of stock of anything on my list, and half the items I needed were on sale if you had a Safeway card! If you live nearby, make sure you get one of those cards or you'll be paying way too much for things you can easily get for less.
