I would highly discourage anybody attempting to attend this facility, whether it be inpatient or intensive outpatient. You have been warned.

Was interviewed by Finance and was treated so poorly and was pressured using high pressure sales tactics. I was also deceived into thinking the finance people were mental health professionals instead of treating me like a human. I am calling the Denver police. Faking your credentials is illegal.

After refusing to attend treatment for a tertiary (or secondary issue at best) to focus on a primary issue, my family member was dropped from the program. The staff failed to follow through on leave of absence documentation. When a person is in crisis and having trouble with executive processes, they need more assistance. This facility had no problem taking a fee and not actually providing the help that my family member desperately needed. Less than a week later, we ended up in the emergency room to get checked into another facility. The level of care at this other facility puts this one to shame. This outfit needs to be better than this.

This place changed my life. I have been to two rehabs, and two outpatient centers, and almost gave up hope that treatment worked. I decided to give The Meadows in Denver a try and it was the best decision I have made in a long time! I have addiction issues, PTSD, and developmental trauma, all very complex. I never felt safe. The therapists here really knew how to get me to safety so I could begin working on my trauma. I feel like a lot of treament centers say they are "dual diagnosis", but I never experienced that. I really only recieved help with my addiction, which left me repeating the cycle over and over, because I never got help with my trauma. I was in their PHP program for 6 weeks with Joe to establish safety. He is the BEST! Then a transitioned to IOP for 8 weeks to do the REAL trauma work. This is NOT easy! There will be times when you feel like you want to quit. I know I did, and there were several people who did. But something inside me told me to keep going and I am so glad I did. I truly believe the therapists here really know what they are doing. And, the program was so comprehensive, with neurofeedback, yoga, qui gong, and art therapy; all creating a very healing environment to do the hard work. The staff at the front desk was always so helpful and inviting and the psychatrist on staff was available and listened. I am forever grateful for my time here because my life hasn't been the same since. Thank you Meadows.
