i wasn't even here for a full three days and it was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my entire life. this place was horrible at dealing with my other mental illness and my eating disorder as well. please, if you are looking for treatment, do not go here; do not send your child here.

I honestly wish I could give this prison no stars. It absolutely deserves to get shut down. Its more of a torture camp for young youths and adults. The PTSD this place gave me will haunt me and give me nightmares for the rest of my life. Where do I start? Not allowed to go outside the entire time. It had to be earned and when it was cold or snowing we never went outside for a month. Was forced in isolation and separated from others doing better than me after I already made friends with them I wasnt allowed to speak to them again. Lets get started on the abuse part of the employees shall we? Lets see.. screaming at us, forcing us to strip down naked in front of each other, employees watching us use the bathroom/ showering while making inappropriate comments. Several girls tried to kill them self and I wasnt far from it. This place psychologically messed me up beyond belief. We werent allowed to walk, talk or anything without 24-7 being monitored. They wouldnt let us use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Non of the therapist were trained in eating disorders. The employees were all more like correction officers, getting off at yelling at us, making us feel like worthless prisoners. We were punished for not finishing our food in a timely manner. We were physically and mentally dehumanized. We were all slaves to this place. Phone calls, everything is monitored. I can not say this enough do not send anyone here. If anyone needs to talk about the PTSD of this place please reach out. I was there 2015 love u all I hope everyone can heal.

Please never send your child here. Another extremely manipulative & toxic troubled teen center profiting off the parents money or insurance companies and in turn psychologically abusing children. They have isolation rooms, you cannot go outside (a bus will drive you to the other center 20 FT away), calls are monitored with your parents and if you say anything bad about the facility you face consequences and your team tells your parents you are lying. You are not allowed to make friends in the program and if you do make a friend and they are in a different level and you are found speaking to them, you will find yourself faced with consequences. My therapist Whitney stole my private journal and read through the whole thing. She also lied and manipulated my parents along with the whole institution of ERC. This center is no different from Ivy Ridge or any other abusive troubled teen programs that are being called out now for abuse. It is traumatizing and so sad what happens here.

needs a good raze to the ground my therapist would frequently end our sessions 20-30 minutes early if I had "nothing to talk about". She didn't know much about eating disorders. Unfortunately I think I got stuck with a bad one because the others seemed more knowledgeable. As a 17 year old patient (how old I was when I was admitted for 2.5 months) I don't think I should be responsible for filling up our sessions. She also cut group time if no one was talking... mostly because we were depressed! For the cost of this place it's very unprofessional and unhelpful. I got nothing out of this. I'm 20 now, the only thing I can say is the friends I made were invaluable and we helped each other through this nightmare.

I was here in 2015, and I decided to check the reviews and see if the place has changed. It seems it has not. If you love your children, do NOT bring them here. I was here for 3 months, and I still suffer from PTSD from my time here. I was put in a seclusion room for 7 days as punishment because I would not eat. This meant the lights were on 24/7, there was nothing to do besides stare at the walls, I didnt even get a blanket. If I would call out to use the restroom, they didnt care. I was forced to urinate on myself several times and not allowed to shower for several hours afterwards as punishments. I had an NG tube while I was here. The staff decided that since I did not want to eat, they would remove my tube at night and place it again each morning. If you have ever had an NG tube placed, it is a horrific experience. Also, they never once got a chest x-ray to verify placement. I am a nurse now, and knowing they did that to 14-year-old me is horrifying. They would hang up my phone calls if I tried to tell my parents what they were doing to me. They would throw away my letters if they said anything negative about ERC. The physician who was worked here at the time was an awful person. He would call me weak for not recovering fast enough. He once told me I was so weak and pathetic that I seemed like the type of girl to believe your boyfriend in high school that he loves you, and then get pregnant with his baby while he cheats on you. I am not making this up, those were his actual words. If you love your child, do NOT bring them here. I wish I had filed a lawsuit for their many, many illegal actions they did to me (seclusion for 2+ hrs, chemical restraints, physical punishment, etc) but 14-year-old me had no idea this could be brought to court.
