Colorado Kids Pediatrics

When my son was first born, he was extremely ill. I took him to this practice and he was seen by Dr. Makovsky who told me my son was just gurgling as newborns do. When my son dropped down to 4lbs I demanded that he be admitted to the hospital. A different doctor at the same practice agreed. My sons esophagus and his stomach were not attached he was getting very little nutrition. My son had to have a g tube for a year that was beautifully placed by his life saving surgeon, Dr. Stephen Rothenberg, (not an affiliate of this practice). My son also had Tracheomalacia, another life threatening condition Dr. makovsky also FAILED to diagnose. The other doctors, p.a.s, and nurses are equivalently impervious which can often lead to recklessness.

We love this office! For my third child, we moved to Colorado Kids Pediatrics and have had a fantastic experience with Dr. Leah and the Pearl St office. They can always get you in. Doctors and nurses are caring, communicative, and efficient. We have since moved all my kiddos to this practice (our previous pediatrician office took on too many new patients, so they were never available, even in serious cases, and delivered mediocre to sub-par care). Today, my 6 month old developed croup. They squeezed us into a busy schedule (they were down a provider for the day). Dr. Leah was attentive and efficient. We were in and out in 15 minutes! We couldn't be happier here for our pediatric medical care!

this place is not teen friendly at all. its my familys only option currently and this place is a NIGHTMARE. as a patient, when i go, they never listen to how my pain effects me and just send me off with just a diagnosis and no help. as a 14 year old, there is definitely a barrier between the doctors and a teen patient who needs help. THEY CANT EVEN DIAGNOSE AN EAR INFECTION OR A UTI. heres just one of my many terrible experiences here: i was having trouble breathing and i had pain in my chest. my previous doctor at aurora said that this was obviously a problem but here, they completely disregarded my breathing problem and sent me home. i had to go a second time for actual help. its almost like they dont listen to their patients at all even when theyre in pain. find a better pediatric center.
