Coming into the office, you can tell the people are nice and trying their best to help. Over the phone, customer service is great most of the time. Just have to have some patience sometimes and they will eventually get you what you need. Not sure what's up with all the negative reviews, seems like most of them are misinformed or making rash assumptions.

I would really like someone to explain to me why my son, Since he received his hunters education card(age 12) has been putting in for the deer draw every year up to 2022 and has not been able to obtain a license. Thats 5 years of putting in? . He's had 0 deer licenses he will now be 17.
Our resident Youth hunters should be top of the list when it comes to draw licenses system. They will be the ones to carry on hunting/conservation traditions with their family and friends. Stop catering to out of state hunters and put residents and especially resident youth hunters first.
Your draw system is confusing to say the least and completely out of control when it comes to residents license vs out-of state license and the time frame at wich your able to hunt. At the current rate a person will only hunt a handful of times in their lifetime if the current system dosent change. Not to mention that we are paying to hunt sick animals now that cwd has been found nearly every part of the state.
Your agency is broken and misguided.

I did not have a good experience or interaction with at least the officer in the Denver area whom I spoke to. Very frustrating. Flat told permits that do in fact exist to be had aren't approved in the area even if all the proper requirements are going to be met. With no real explanation other than they're not going to. Very disappointing these people are paid with tax payer dollars, because this isn't people or a system I'm ok with my tax dollars going to that's for certain.
