To the guy insulting cathy I pity you. Obviously you need more help to put down a person trying to help people. Dave is awesome and 1 hell of a teacher and so is andrea. Theyve helped me through some of the toughest times in my life. I would definitly recommend this class to anyone in need of dv help or anger.

Really? The guy below me is going to resort to personal insults? Douche bag... fact is you got yourself in trouble. Deal with it. This place is very competitively priced, and I've enjoyed my time here. Kathy has always been nothing but pleasant and helpful. And mmj? You're on probation dumbass, those aren't her rules.

Great place to get better. People who are trying to beat the system instead of playing by the rules will always have negative things to say. I spent a year of my life here (3 years ago) and still use the tools they gave me to live a much better life. Its an adventure for sure @ Transition and Recovery

I was introduced to Transition & Recovery in March of 2014. I was court appointed after pleading guilty to a domestic violence. I was actually supposed to go to another office for only 6 conflict resolution classes and an evaluation because it was my first ever case. I could not afford the fee that was being charged up front at the original recommendation. I was allowed by the Judge to seek other options and found Kathy, Dave and Miranda. It was the best decision I could have ever made. There is no way I would be where I am today if I only had 6 classes. I was angry, resentful, and felt that it was a conspiracy that I was even ordered to attend because I felt I was justified in my actions that lead me there. Kathy and the team are very accommodating regarding payment and are more focused on recovery. They don't hold any punches and are amazing at holding you accountable. I credit Kathy and my fellow classmates with my recovery. I was 43 years old and spent a lifetime as a victim of my circumstance brought on by childhood that carried and strengthened as I became an adult. I would not have been able to discover where it all began without the expectation of honesty. Before attending classes there I was the one who always helped out everyone and would sacrifice my own well being to help out anyone. Then when that would end in disappointment and worse off than the one I helped and no one was there for me I would then be a victim to what they did. The biggest lesson I learned was that I chose to be a victim to what other people did to me. I learned that I was a victim to my own choices and my life was always going to suffer if I continued to give others control over my life and its outcome. Once I learned what triggered my emotions whither it was helping people that were not willing to help themselves or what I had experienced as a child and growing up it was ultimately my responsibility as an adult to either stop living in the past, be accountable for what I was responsible for and let go of what I was not. Mind you this was after 14 years in the Alanon program. Kathy help nothing back, she had the same callouses and same worn sandals. You could not get nothing by her. You could not fake it till you made it. She saw right through it. She is able to allow you to swim in your pool until she gave you to tools to choose a better life. Today I am no longer a victim to the actions and choices of others. I am only responsible for myself. I have no control over other people, their actions, emotions, or feelings. I no longer felt a responsibility to help people that were not willing to help themselves, I no longer owned the consequences of there choices. Now I am free of all the baggage. I'm am positive, driven, self aware, and confident women that has taken her desire to do for others to have become someone who is empowered to show anyone who wants become better person that it is possible with the right tools and most importantly to be accountable for their own success. I could not have done that with out Kathy and the classes. If you are ready to change you will get everything you need to make that happen the only thing they cant do is make you change. That is a personal choice. Kathy, Dave and Miranda, Thank you so very much for doing what you do.
