Gnomes Nook

The Gnomes Nook is a cool little boutique right by Washington Park that is gnome-themed! It's really kitschy cool. They have a lot of gnomes for sale. They also have candy too. It's a quirky little place that's really hip and fun. These types of shops are cool because they're so different. I just hope they have enough business to stick around!

I've been here a few times to show my friends this cool place, or recently, when my mom was in town. The owners happened to be there this last time. They're a brother and sister and they are seriously some of the most friendly people I've seen in a small shop in a while. :-D if you don't like candy, you should at least stop by to see the awesome decor. This is one of the most elaborately adorable businesses I've seen! :) It's never super busy, but they must get business, because the candies are always fresh. They have a good variety too. The gnomes they have around are all really fun and I believe all of them are for sale. The prices of the gnomes very immensely--I've seen ones as low as $5, and as high as $50+ (genuinely antique gnomes). The employees talk about how if they're out of a candy, "the gnomes are working hard to make more." Apparently they have movie nights in their outside garden (adorable converted area on the side of their building), and it's super popular with the little ones. This winter, they're bringing in Father Christmas (like Santa) to meet the kids!
