Manny's Auto Repair

This guy jerk me around twice. After giving me a bid on the work, I took time off from work to bring my car in. I brought in as scheduled, about 3 hours later he call to tell me that he would not be able to get to it till the next Monday. I understand that things happen. I took off work again and brought my car in on Monday. He then told me that he can get to it for a day or two . In addition, I don't believe these 5 star ratings. The place is pretty trashy.

I wouldn't recommend taking your car here if it's not something simple, or if you own a Subaru. My husband took his Subaru to this mechanic because it was near his work. The mechanic kept it for a month and then decided he was unable to do the job, and couldn't find the problem. Which is fine if you don't know how to repair something, but my husband called him every week to check the status, and it was excuse after excuse. Finally my husband went in person to speak with him, and he finally said he couldn't do it. If he wouldn't have went in person, and just called, I'm not sure he would have told him he couldn't do it. Not to mention we paid this shop $250 for nothing, and our car to be held outside the shop for a month. I understand paying something for his time/effort/diagnostic fee, but it could have been like half of that cost based on what happened. We took it to a different mechanic on the following Monday, and the car was fixed by Thursday. The cost was $240 for a valve cover gasket replacement, so it cost less to actually have the issue fixed! I don't normally leave reviews, but this is pretty ridiculous.

I recommed this auto shop because the owner Manny is the most honest mecanic I have ever dealt with. Also his sons are awesome and very professional.
