Nawlins Restaurant

This restaurant is awesome! Great food and service! We probably wouldn't have gone if we didn't win a gift card, but we were pleasantly surprised that the food was as good as it was! The other reviews are misleading, so don't let them fool you into not going!

Food is always good. Service is slow. Its on par with ur bank, five people working but only one seems to be doing anything. But make the best of it being slow, bring friends and have a good unrushed meal

I had the Seafood Muffaletta and it was excellent, very tasty, cooked to perfection. Some of the Fried Okra I had as an appetizer was a bit chewy, the rest was very good. The service was good considering they had only one server. It was pretty empty when we went there on a rainy Thursday night, do not know how busy they get. Overall, a rather enjoyable experience.

Nawlins is a small restaurant smashing into a VERY busy location (great spot to have a shop) and serves up something that the Springs has needed "a good one" of for a while. I have had a few dishes as has the wife. The wife had a tough time with it, but in Nawlins' defense she had just become preganant and we didn't know it yet...so basically everything she ate "made her feel bloated and sick after she ate there." I had the blackened catfish, one of my favorite dishes in any food type anywhere. The food was really good. Done up well, cooked right, the seasoning was spot on and the char was perfect. The service was 'good.' Maybe a bit lacking in some general personality appeal you'd like to see in any restaurant - but not terrible. The visual aappeal of the restaurant is just about right. With a little more light in the building and maybe a jazz band on Saturday nights (don't know if they have music here or not) could turn this place into a smash-out Saturday night dinner spot. I tend to think the pricing is a bit steep - but what can you expect from the gluttonous Powers Corridor?
