We had a good experience with J&J and would recommend them. Its helpful with them to have a good idea of what you want, as timelines are detailed, and move quickly. The better youre prepared, the less chance of a delay you will have. They are responsive and receptive. Our basement looks great and we are happy with how it turned out. Were at the 98 percent point and will post pictures as soon as were 100 percent complete. Thanks J&J! My experience with Jeremy the owner was limited to one visit in the initial sales call to my house. He was very personable and provided me the details of his build your basement product. It sounded like a great deal where his crew would come in build a plan, take care of the permits, frame the basement, plumbing, HVAC hang drywall and I would take over the second phase to install installation, flooring, trim and paint to complete the project. The concept was appealing that I would share the cost with my own labor and in turn reduce expenses. In the end I never saw Jeremey again and my total costs didnt same me much money when compared to quotes I was getting from other contractors doing the entire job. So really I didnt save much and had to do a ton work myself, in hind sight I would have just paid someone to do all the work . I never heard from Jeremey unless he needed a payment. For the plumbing they had to move the pipes as they were positioned too close causing a tear up of the concrete. Not a big deal except the concrete guys left an uneven surface, of which I had to level before flooring. The dry wall guys were horrible and left a massive mess of mud splattered everywhere. This took a huge effort for me to clean up and level the floor. The Foreman Dan was great, super responsive and helpful. Overall it was just an average experience and I cant say I would recommend J&J construction to a friend.
