Uchenna Ethiopian Restaurant

Hands down THE most wonderful and memorable experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Maya welcomed our party of 4 in, and as if we were family, treated us to a meal unlike anything we have had before. Each of us opted for Ethiopian Vegetarian/Vegan entrees and appetizers, which were absolutely delicious and packed full of flavors. Maya truly is a soul unlike any other, and we cant wait until the next time we can break bread together.

Searched TripAdvisor for great food places and this restaurant popped up. So we visited on a Sunday evening (6:30) and the place was pretty quiet. A few couples scattered about. Lovely decor and music playing. We sat ourselves and soon waitress (who was probably also one of the chefs) took our order. It took about 10-15 minutes for her to take our order and deliver water, which is a little bit on the long side. However once our order was taken (the vegetarian combo for 2) it came out within 10minutes. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS FOOD!!! Couldnt rate it any higher. Delicious combination of Ethiopian stews and the injera bread was delightful. Overall it was a great experience apart from the slow service. Worth the visit

The delicious smell coming from the kitchen when walking in was a great start to experiencing the amazing meal I had with my family. The woman who waited on us was so sweet and kind. The name on our receipt says Aleannda, so I hope that is her. She recommended looking on their website to learn the history and culture of their cuisine, which was so interesting to learn about. She also showed how to eat with the injera. We enjoyed a platter for 4 and had left overs to enjoy. With our lefts overs, Aleannda gave us recommendations on what we could do, especially with our left over injera. It was such an amazing experience and I can't wait to visit my family again to come back here. I will also bring other people with me to try. I whole heartedly recommend coming here and experiencing this wonderful atmosphere for yourself.

Reserved a Saturday night dinner time with my fiance. Incredible food, and excellent service. Just a mother and daughter team; the lamb and beef tibs were delicious with the lentils, and the injera scooped everything up. The lemonade and tea were tasty and not too sweet! Looking forward to coming back again soon! Parking: Small free parking lot, else you have to use paid street parking.
