Social Elegance

John is so wonderful and patient. My husband and I came to him before our wedding with zero dancing ability. I can't even keep rhythm! John went above and beyond. He never gave up on us despite knowing that we couldn't possibly be easy to teach. On the big day, I felt like our dance came together very well, and at the very least, we both felt confident on the dance floor. We had so much fun together - away from the kids - that we've decided when the kids are a little older, we will take dance lessons together. Thanks so much, John!

John Martin is the most talented and perceptive dance instructor either my wife or I have ever had the pleasure of training under. In 2003 I was a clumsy single man who had played all the "guy" sports, but the most coordinated exercise I had ever done for my feet was "running through the tires" in High school football. I wasn't sure John could teach me enough to look coordinated, but he has some very unique and effective training methods that allowed me to quickly start to enjoy dancing. So I started with attending John's practice dance, where a beautiful Miss Terry first asked me to dance. I was so nervous because Terry was an advanced dancer dancing with me a beginner, but I focused on what John had taught. My newfound enjoyment of dancing caused me to continue to attend dances, and I would see Terry at these dances and she sometimes danced with me. As I took more of John's lessons, I advanced rather quickly, and we danced together more often. 8 months later Terry and married and we still look forward to taking John's lessons as time permits. John's instructions act like a "tune up" which allows us to have so much more enjoyment on our Saturday night dates when we go dancing and fall in love again each time we dance. We've tried many dance instructors in the past 16 years, but appreciate John's superior dance instructor's talent. We still enjoy his lessons as our schedule allows, and recommend Social Elegance to anyone who wants to learn to dance quickly, easily, and elegantly. He's the best!
