Austin Bluffs Church

When we first started attending Austin Bluffs Church we loved it! The community was welcoming, the preaching was solid, the worship was focused, and it felt like a true family. However, after a senior pastor transition occurred this past summer we began to have concerns over the preaching that didnt provide spiritual nourishment- it was either fluffy or fear-mongering, and as time progressed we had added concerns of church policies that can be made up on a whim, a lack of accountability, and lack of transparency. When we raised some of our concerns with the senior pastor we were walked in circles and not given any true clarity. We were ultimately told that if you have concerns you should shut your mouth, walk away, and move onto the next thing. While we truly loved so many of the people at this church, we couldnt stand for serving a church under leadership that holds the belief that concerns are meant to be kept silent. It was and still is heartbreaking to see how much one person has changed the heart of what was a wonderful church. We truly do hope that God will still do great things with this church, but under the current leadership and a lack of a true elder board for accountability we knew we could not continue calling this our church home and wouldnt want to raise a future family there.
