Jaywalker Lodge

Jaywalker Lodge is a tremendous resource here in Carbondale for those seeking help in recovery. I worked as a clinical mental health intern and got to see the dedication of the staff first-hand. They are truly wonderful and devoted people. I also had the pleasure of getting to work with the clients and to see so many of them continue their powerful recovery journey as community members here in Carbondale and beyond.

After experiencing several treatment programs over the years as our son struggled with substance abuse disorder, Jaywalker came to our attention. Their focus of learning to live with JOY in recovery and their longer term approach helped us make our decision. Our son is the healthiest and the happiest we've seen him in years! He has made strong connections and is finally living his sobriety in real time. Jaywalker staff are amazing, strong, supportive, and understand what their clients are going through. They walk the walk, not just talk the talk. Jaywalker has been able to show our son that there is so much life to be lived and enjoyed in recovery. Jaywalker staff at every level and role has been there for us as parents as well. They have supported us, answered our calls, given us tools and resources and been there for us every step of the way. They've made us feel a part of the Jaywalker family. That has been so important on this journey. I highly recommend Jaywalker Lodge Treatment Center.

Twelve years ago, I stepped into Jaywalker Lodge, a lost soul enslaved by addiction. My journey toward long-term recovery hasn't been without its bumps, but undeniably, I owe my present sobriety to the Jaywalker family and the invaluable brotherhood I found at Jaywalker Lodge. Even after twelve years, I remain connected with the majority of the men who walked through Jaywalker alongside me, celebrating both life's highs and lows together. Jaywalker is a great program and helped me give me a new lease on life.

I was quick to respond when I found out my only nephew was addicted to meth. With my 24 years of sobriety plus working professionally in the recovery business for over 15 years, I knew time was of the essence and did not hesitate to contact my friend, KC Gooding. I wasnt sure Jaywalker was the right fit for my sisters family, but KC assured me he would personally assist in any way he could. It was a long and tedious 3 months getting the family on board with the treatment plan and convincing my nephew to surrender. KC and the Jaywalker staff were there every step of the way. Their level of expertise, well implemented program and continuum of care is as good as it gets. Now with 10 months of sobriety, my nephew is thriving. His story of addiction and recovery is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you, Jaywalker, for saving not just his life, but ours too.
