I switched classes for multiple merit badges, and after having done so, I was told I would receive credit for these badges. Come August, when the merit badges were put in, neither of the counselors who had proof and evidence of my completion put it in, leading to me having spent over $100 to go to a camp that only gave me 1.5 merit badges. I now will have to spend even more time and money at a merit badge college, to retake badges that I have already completed. Ranger Tim, Chase and the Woman in the outpost were amazing people though.

Magnificent view and landscape. Great scout camp but a little dilapidated and food service was underwhelming. Staff was on their last week and the motivation level was a little low. No water sports or range availability due to not having a range instructor or waterfront director.

The area was beautiful and the landscape amazing, but the dining facilities was made for around 100 people max, they had 250 at least and the serving process was worse than it could be even understaffed, I waited 30 minutes for my food, and some people got their plates covered in stuff they weren't going to eat, or worse, their dessert covered in that very stuff (FYI, brownies aren't so great when served in green bean juice.) It's honestly kind of wasteful. And speaking of staff some of them were nice and chill butttt they had no idea what they were doing or they were completely uninterested in the topic they were teaching. Of course, the aquatics and shooting sports facilities weren't unopen directly because the staff could've been better about things, and the understaffing is currently a nationwide issue. but hiring a 12 year old as a superior and ''instructer'' is a little to out of the box, a 12 year old doesn't even know what taxs are. And don't even get me started on the food we wait all year and pay 400$ just to get literal slop, my friend got sick because he couldn't eat that certain food he had to eat Cheerios for breakfast and lunch. They also made us sing in the rain yay so much fun and pneumonia, the funny thing was they were standing under a roof. But overall chase, ranger tim, and AJ made the camp a better place. But as a scout I love Colorado, I would just choose a better camp. Edit: Wow your customer service has really decreased in quality over the years It almost seems like a 12 year old is in charge of your customer service

There are two layers to this review. Yes, our recent experience was very choppy because of acute personnel shortages that we're seeing nationwide for jobs like these. Events were canceled, food was not great, etc. But in a normal time, when they would have twice the staff, this place clearly could be a gem. It's beautiful, has dedicated adult staff who work their tails off and would be great with enough people on property. This will be a very good camp once the labor situation settles.

Lets start with the food. Not only did we have to sing in the rain to get it. But the serving line was horribly in efficient. Often times, only one person knew the contents of a meal, leading to a hold up when sorting dietary restrictions. As for the food. The serving sizes were inadequate, not that it mattered cause it was inedible half the time. The highlight of the week was uncooked tortilla chips because sometimes things happen. The most edible thing was the the salad bar. Furthermore, the lack of communication between camp and troop leadership often led to issues and misunderstandings. The facilities were also in adequate for the amount of scouts they accommodate, leading to some eating outside despite cold weather. Staff was severely under staffed with no one on standby if need be. This led to aquatics and all shooting activities being canceled, preventing the scouts from getting merit badges they needed. The only exception to all of this was the splendid work of Chase and Ranger Tim. Both of which went above and beyond to make this Camp bearable.
