The lake house is hands down the best eating spot on Vallecito Lake. They must have hired a good chef because you don't usually find this quality in the mountains. Someone knows how to cook!!

This review is not for the Lake House but for the new Fur Trappers Steak House and Bar and the new owners. I made a custom sign for this new business, hand burned taking over 150 hrs and they tricked me into not paying the other half and still getting the sign. They ordered this handmade sign, made a down payment and then a couple months later got another contract for interior work with another down payment. When I dropped the sign off and as they walked it in I asked for the check and they said "ok one second." Once they had the sign in their store they told me that they would not pay the other half and never at any point told me this was their intentions until they got their sign into the store. Very shady business. I would give a zero but I can't.
