FARMERS INSURANCE BRILL AGENCY

I have had a nightmare experience with Farmers insurance in Avon, Colorado and recommend everyone to choose a different insurance provider unless you want to be insured by the company that collects your premiums but engages in questionable ethical business practices to not pay out claims in it's communities. There was a fire / water main breakage in the complex(not my unit) that all owners recieved an approximately $6000 insurance assessment for the shortage to repair the complex structure. I first notified Farmers Insurance in August 2023 and five months later as of January 30, 2024, Farmers Insurance has refused to pay this claim even though countless other owners insurance companies paid out on this claim. Around 8 or 9 other Farmers policy holders from my complex are in the same situation that haven't been paid on the claim. Farmers wants the policy holder to wait until construction has finished and claim / suit has completed. Those lawsuits could take years to settle and there is no guarantee that any money would be collected. Therefore, in the mean time I have had to pay about $6000.00 insurance assessment that Farmers Insurance has refused to pay, even though I paid for that feature on my insurance. My perception is Farmer's Insurance takes every opportunity to deny a claim to pad the bottom line when countless other insurance companies did the right thing and paid out to ensure their customers are taken care of with this incident. Is that the type of company you want to do business with? Insurance is something that you never hope to have to use but when it's needed you want the company to make the process smooth without the all the issues. I hope anyone who currently has Farmer's or thinks about purchasing Farmer's Insurarance reconsiders who they do business with and chooses a company that doesn't leave its communities footing the bill. Don't be Farmer's Insurance next victim!
